For someone who is very ill

The people who love them say what they want to say.

Brothers, sisters, old friends and grandchildren each send a message. The family keeps the book and every voice in it.

Gathering is free. You won't need a card.

How it works

Bring everyone's stories together with one link!

Start the book

Tell us who it's for

Put in their name, then send the link to the people they'd want to hear from.

Share one link

Everyone adds their story

Friends and family can capture a memory by voice, video, writing or photos, wherever they are in the world. It's easy on any phone and nobody needs an account!

We put it together

Hear it, read it, hold it

We write out every voice note and gather it all into a podcast you can play and a beautiful book you can hold.

The three questions in the book

  1. What's a time with them you think about often?
  2. What did they teach you?
  3. What do you want them to know?
After the news

The ones far away can still be heard.

The brother in Boston and the friend from work can record when it suits them.

1

Photos with the messages

The school photo of the grandchildren can go in beside their voices.

2

A song or a goodnight

Her sister in Leeds sang the one from the wedding.

Who owns the recordings

The recordings belong to the people who made them. Whoever started the book can download everything and delete it at any time.

Questions people ask

What can I do for someone who is terminally ill?

Visit if you can and keep talking about ordinary things. Between visits, the messages bring them news from everyone.

How do I save my mum's voice?

Ask her one question at a time, the way you'd ask over a cup of tea, and record her answers on your book's link. Her recordings sit in the book with every word written out.

How much does it cost to collect messages?

Nothing. They can each record a message on their own phone, and it doesn't cost anything to collect them. You only pay if you want the voices edited, the book laid out or a printed copy.

Can family abroad record?

Yes. They can record from anywhere in the world with the link. We post the printed book to Ireland, the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, every EU country, Norway, Iceland and Switzerland.

What if someone doesn't know what to say?

They can write it instead, or come back to the link another day. A short message is fine.

Who would you like to gather messages for?
