For a christening

The godparents and the family talk to the baby.

The child keeps a book of what everyone said at their christening, and can hear each voice once they're old enough to ask about the day.

Gathering is free. You won't need a card.

How it works

Bring everyone's stories together with one link!

Start the book

Tell us who it's for

Add the baby's name and send the link to the godparents first, then the rest of the family.

Share one link

Everyone adds their story

Friends and family can capture a memory by voice, video, writing or photos, wherever they are in the world. It's easy on any phone and nobody needs an account!

We put it together

Hear it, read it, hold it

We write out every voice note and gather it all into a podcast you can play and a beautiful book you can hold.

The three questions for a christening

  1. What do you want to tell them about their christening day?
  2. What should they know about the family they've been born into?
  3. What do you hope for them as they grow up?
Who's in a christening book

The link goes round the table at the christening party.

The parents pick who goes first, and the link goes round from there.

1

The godparents

They've been asked to look out for this child for life.

2

The grandparents

They were at the parents' own christenings thirty-odd years ago, and they can tell the baby who was there that day.

3

Photos from the day

Guests add the photos they took on their own phones to their message.

Questions people ask

What is a good christening gift from a godparent?

A godparent can start the book themselves and record the first message. The family adds theirs after, and the finished book goes to the parents for the baby.

Can we give it at the first birthday instead?

Yes. Leave the book open after the christening and order it about three weeks before the first birthday.

Can family abroad record for the christening?

Yes. They can record from anywhere in the world with the link. We post the printed book to Ireland, the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, every EU country, Norway, Iceland and Switzerland.

How do older relatives record a message?

Hand them your phone at the party with the link open. They press the big button and talk, or they can type their message instead.

Do the godparents need an account?

No. The link opens on any phone, with no app and no account.
