A family story book where every relative records.
Grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles each record their own stories on the same link. Every recording is written out and printed as one book, and one link plays every voice.
Gathering is free. You only pay when the book is ready.

Who records in each one.
Storyworth
One storyteller answers a question a week for a year, by email, on the web or in a phone call, and the answers are printed as a book. The Unlimited plan, at $199, invites as many storytellers as you like.
Remento
One storyteller records answers to weekly prompts, and each recording becomes a written chapter with a QR code that plays it back. Family can be invited to read and react, and each extra storyteller is $99.
Chorus
Each relative's answer gets its own page in the same book, with their name on it.
We read Storyworth and Remento on their own websites on 31 October 2026.

The life story book is for one relative.
They answer 35 questions about their own life, a little at a time, by voice, on video or in writing.

Gathering the voices costs nothing, and you can download every recording as a file. When the book is ready, pick one of these.
One link plays every voice straight through, and each message is written out.
The finished book is laid out to read online, and each message plays from its page.
One printed hardcover copy is posted to you, with the podcast link and the book online. Postage is included.
Extra printed copies are $45 each.
Questions people ask
What's an alternative to Storyworth or Remento where every relative records?
Chorus. It suits a family that wants the cousins' and grandchildren's stories beside Granny's own.
Do relatives need an app or an account?
No. The link opens in the browser on any phone.
Can older relatives write instead of recording?
Yes. A written answer gets its own page like a recorded one.
Can we add old family photos?
Yes. Photos go on the same page as the answer they belong to.
Can the family share the cost?
Yes. Turn on chip-in, and everyone who records can put money towards the book. Each person picks an amount and saves their card. The cards are charged when you go to pay, and what they chipped in comes off your price. If you don't finish paying, the money goes back within a week.
