For grandparents

Granny and Grandad get a book from the grandchildren.

Each grandchild records a message for Granny and Grandad. They get a printed book with a page for every grandchild.

Gathering is free. You won't need a card.

How it works

Bring everyone's stories together with one link!

Start the book

Tell us who it's for

Put in their name, then send the link to each family with grandchildren.

Share one link

Everyone adds their story

Friends and family can capture a memory by voice, video, writing or photos, wherever they are in the world. It's easy on any phone and nobody needs an account!

We put it together

Hear it, read it, hold it

We write out every voice note and gather it all into a podcast you can play and a beautiful book you can hold.

The three questions for the grandchildren

  1. What's your favourite thing to do with them?
  2. What did they teach you?
  3. What do you love about going to their house?
Who's in a book from the grandchildren

The toddlers and the ones in college are in the same book!

This book is the grandchildren talking. Granny and Grandad tell their own stories in the grandparents book.

1

The little ones

A toddler can sing a song or show off a drawing on video.

2

Great-grandchildren

If there are great-grandchildren, send the link to their parents too.

3

For a Sunday visit

Play the podcast link on the Sunday visit and leave the printed book behind for them.

In their words
A Christmas gift
We gave a book of stories about Mam to her for Christmas and she said it was the best gift she had received. There were some stories she had never heard! She felt really surrounded by love.

Questions people ask

What is a good gift from the grandchildren to their grandmother?

Their voices as they sound this year. Start a new book next year and she can hear how they've changed.

What should a grandchild say in a message to their granny?

Sit the child on your knee and record in the kitchen with the door shut. Let the small ones go off on a tangent.

Can grandchildren who live abroad record?

Yes. They can record from anywhere in the world with the link. We post the printed book to Ireland, the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, every EU country, Norway, Iceland and Switzerland.

Can we give it at Christmas?

Yes. Close the book by Friday 4 December 2026 for the printed copy to arrive in time.

Can everyone chip in?

Yes, if you turn chip-in on. Everyone who records can put money towards the book and saves their card. Their cards are charged when you go to pay, and it comes off what you pay. If you don’t finish paying, their money goes back within a week.

Which Granny or Grandad is it for?
