Group cards

A group card where everyone records a message

You send one link to everyone and they each add a message from their phone. They can record a voice note or a video, or type a message if they'd rather, and add a photo.

Chorus writes out every voice note. The person gets one link that plays everyone in turn with the words beside it, and you can order it as a printed book.

How it works

  1. Start a book with the person's name and the occasion.
  2. Send the link to the group in WhatsApp, Slack, a text or an email.
  3. Each person opens it on their phone and records a voice note, films a video or writes a message. Nobody needs an app or an account.
  4. On the day, send the person one link. Every message plays in turn, with the words written out beside it.

A leaving card from the team

Everyone on the team can tell the person what they'll miss about them, from wherever they work. People in other offices and people who have already left the company can add to it too.

Questions that work for a leaving card:

You can use the same questions for a teacher at the end of the year or a friend who is emigrating.

A birthday card from everyone

The whole family or a group of friends can make one for a 40th, 50th or 70th. Each person records a minute about a day they remember. Grandchildren can sing happy birthday. Cousins abroad record from where they are.

There are birthday questions on the big birthday page.

Video messages from the group

Turn video on if half the group would rather be seen than heard. Everyone films a short message from the same link, and every clip is kept with the person's name on it. You can download all of them without paying, to play at the party or put together yourself.

What it costs

Collecting the messages is free, with no limit on how many people take part. You can download every recording as a file without paying anything.

When the messages are in, you can keep them three ways: the voices tidied with one link that plays them all, the finished book online, or one printed hardcover copy posted to you. The prices are on the home page.

Chorus and the usual group card sites

Kudoboard, GroupGreeting and Padlet put written messages, photos and GIFs on one online board. On Chorus people can also send a voice note, and you can print the messages as a book. There's a side by side of prices and features on Kudoboard vs Chorus.
