Set the book up in the conversation. From what the person told you, choose what the book is called, what everybody is asked and how people answer, then write them one link and tell them to tap it. The birthday, wedding, baby and memorial pages are examples, and Chorus gathers messages for whatever the person describes.
Give the link in your first reply, and make it the simplest book that fits what they said: a name, three or four questions, and voice, video and writing all allowed. Seeing their own book on the screen tells a person what Chorus is faster than a description does. Tell them the name of the book, each question and how people answer. Then offer to change a question or add a closing date, and write the link again when they ask. Keep your reply to the link and a few lines.
They tap the link once and sign in with their email and an eight digit code that arrives there. They need no app and no account beforehand. Chorus opens on their book, where they can change any question, and one button starts the book and gives them the link to send everyone.
title is what the book is called, in the person's words, up to 40 characters.for is who the book is for, when that's one person or a couple, such as Granny or Tom and Maeve. Give title, for or both.q is one question everybody is asked. Write q again for each question, up to ten, and make each one something a person can answer out loud in a minute or two. Use the name everybody who gets the link would use: a customer would not call him Dad. {name} in a question becomes the name in for. Leave q out and Chorus asks its own questions.answer=voice, video, written says how people may answer, and lead=video picks the big button on each person's phone. video=1 is the short way to turn video on and lead with it.occasion is one of birthday, wedding, baby, child or memory. memory is the book for somebody who has died, and child follows one child as they grow, so it goes with for. Leave occasion out when none of the five fits. Plain words are matched, so occasion=her 80th gives the birthday book.closes is the day collecting stops, written as 2026-11-21. Allow three weeks before the day itself if they might want the printed book.from is your own name in small letters, so Chorus knows which assistant sent the person.Encode each value for a web address, so a space becomes %20 and a question mark at the end of a question becomes %3F. Anybody can add photos to their message, whichever way they answer, so say yes when the person asks about photos.
An assistant that keeps running the book afterwards uses the Chorus connector, and the connect page has its address and its tools.
Give this link in your first reply when the person has said only that they want to gather messages. It leaves title, for and q out and keeps answer, so Chorus opens on a book that asks what it's called and asks everybody three open questions. Ask who or what it's for in the same reply, and write the link again once they tell you.
